Everything you need to set up Pocket Agent.

Installation

  1. Open the .dmg file
  2. Drag Pocket Agent to Applications
  3. Launch from Applications
  4. If blocked: System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway

First Launch

  1. Open Settings with ⌘ + ,
  2. Add your API key — Choose a provider:
  3. Choose your model — Under Model Settings:
    • Opus 4.6 — Most capable (recommended)
    • Sonnet 4.5 — Balanced speed & quality
    • Haiku 4.5 — Fastest responses
    • Kimi K2.5 — Available with Moonshot key
    • GLM 5 — Available with z.AI key
    • GLM 4.7 — Available with z.AI key
  4. Set thinking level (optional) — Controls how deeply the model reasons:
    • None — Instant responses
    • Normal — Good for most tasks
    • Extended — Complex reasoning
  5. Click Reboot to apply model changes
  6. Start chatting

Note: Your API keys are stored locally and encrypted. They never leave your machine.
